Styles of classes we teach

Hatha

A yoga class described as ‘Hatha’ will typically involve a set of yoga poses and breathing techniques. These are often more slow and with more static holds of the poses than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class. Hatha is for you who likes a yoga class where you have a little more time in the poses, but still gets to sweat. You will leave the class feeling longer, looseer and relaxed.

Vinyasa

This is a style of yoga where you go from postures to postures, seamlessly, following your breath. These types of classes are often the ones where you sweat the most and do a lot of chaturanga flows. Two classes are ever alike. The variable nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same thing every day.

Yin Yoga

This is a slow, deep and more meditative practise. Yin works deeply into our body with longer-held poses and targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia. The slow movements gives you space to turn inward, breath through discomfort and sit with your thoughts. Yin yoga is for you, if you need to really come down and connect with yourself after a long and stressfull time. Yin is perfect for creating a good mindspace and for a better sleep.

Inversion

A inversion classes is a 75 min yoga class that combines more advanced vinyasa flows, arm balances and inversion practices. It's a class that will teach you the basics of balancing on your arms, hands and head and is often more challanging than a normal vinyasa class.

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a strengthening and stabilising practice focused on the core muscles of the body. The class combines controlled movements, breath and concentration to build strength, improve posture and increase body awareness. Exercises are performed slowly and with precision, often targeting the deep muscles of the abdomen, back and hips. Mat Pilates is for you who want to build a strong and balanced body while improving flexibility and control. You will leave the class feeling stronger, longer and more connected to your body.
